Having a money management app is essential to help you plan and track your finances. Within a money management app, you usually will find features like cash management, investment tools, and budgeting tools. Finding a robust app that can fulfill all of your needs can be a challenge. Here we’ll take the guesswork out of finding a suitable app and reveal the top 5 money management apps of 2025 that you can use.

1. Buddy: Budget Planner

Buddy Budget Planner not only lets you create and share a budget, it does so much more. The app also tracks your spending, helps you cancel subscriptions, negotiates the cost of your bills, helps you set financial goals, and tracks your net worth. When you share with another user, you can split who pays what and how to settle up. There is both a paid and free version. Buddy Premium costs $9.99 a month or $49.99 per year when paid annually.  One user says in her Apple App Store review, “I have been using Buddy for quite a bit now after switching from other apps. It is a game-changer.” Most say that the app is super easy to use and customer support is very responsive.

2. EveryDollar: Personal Budget

EveryDollar is an all-in-one budgeting app where you can customize your categories, see all your accounts in one place, and share your household budget with others. EveryDollar also helps you plan spending based on your paydays, calculate your net worth, and automatically stream transactions into your budget. The app has both a free and paid version and uses a zero-based budgeting method to help you manage your money effectively. Users give it 4.7 stars on the Apple App Store. Most reviewers say that the app is easy to use and has made an impact on their finances.

3. Acorns

Acorns is one of the best apps you can use to save and invest. With Acorns you can automate your savings,  round up spare change, and diversify your investments. You can invest in everything from Bitcoin to individual stocks. You can also get a 3% IRA match on your retirement investments with a Gold subscription. If you have kids, there is even a feature called Acorns Early Invest. This dedicated investment account for your kids will be matched by 1%.
